APANA Sydney Member Access Site Directory

A member-access site is a machine which someone has already setup for access to the Internet, giving them and their users the full range of interactive access to the Internet. There is also the option of connecting via UUCP which provides mail and news only.

APANA Sydney members can connect to a member-access site via a shell account, UUCP or dialup SLIP/PPP.

Interested users should browse through the list of services and connections offered by the various permanent sites, for more detailed information about the different connection services available to members.

Call Cost Calculation

Telstra's Call Cost Calculator In the listing of member-access sites above, the term 'most of Sydney' means calls originating in the '(02) 8xxx' and '(02) 9xxx' zones. There can be some exceptions, especially with the '02' area code no longer covering just the Sydney metropolitan area.

If you would like to check whether calling a particular site will be a timed or an untimed call, you will need to use Telstra's call cost calculator for PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) lines.
